Switchable signs for Every Season
It's that time of year again:
You are promising yourself that you wont eat another bite of carbs, here comes the juice cleanse recipes. Yet, the second you see that leftover goodness in the fridge, all ambition goes out of the window.
We have all been here, and there is something that we can help you with this season. Switchable signs are perfect for those of us who love to celebrate and reflect those celebrations in our homes. IT can get expensive to keep up with the neighbors during this time of year.
Switchable signs are double sided stand alone wooden signs. Our best seller is the fall to Christmas combo. We love to switch those signs the second the turkey cools and get ready for the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!
These signs make it easy and fun for everyone!
Pick your own combo and make the seasons as switchable as a flip!
Below are some of the options we have, custom is always encouraged! We will work with you!

Let you feet shine!

Toms! We all adore them, even if sometimes from afar. Let's face it, some people can go through 7 toms a day with the odor they attract to the feet zone, but hey, Africa is involved, so I am too. I have a roommate who just loves sunflowers, and fo rher birthday she wanted sunflower toms. Well, in the store, they decided that paint and time costs 40$ extra. Therefore, I calmly walked away, then ran. Three friends pitched in, two bought the toms, and I was privileged to paint them. Since they are made from canvas, and easy wrestle with acrylic paints created exactly what she wanted. It was a really fun project, and super easy! A great suggestion for group gifts, or paint up your favorite off brand walmart keds!

Well this is awkward....

Do you have a space in your home often referred to as the "awkward wall"? Ok, maybe that is just me, but we all have a place that just seems to draw people's attention, in the "I'm not sure what species this is, so I have to keep looking" kind of way. Well have no fear, here are some ideas that will put your worried eyes at ease.
Firstly, my roommate wanted so badly to put this door as her headboard, but it just swallowed her room. She just set it against this wall, and while it waits, I decided to create some Christmas cheer which seems to have stuck.

Well, you may have noticed the flags above the door. This is actually an old-fashioned idea of "bunting". You can use any scraps of fabric around the house, or in my case, burlap and stationary paper. It is hung with duck tape covered by more stationary paper and buttons, and the flags are held with clothespins. This is a great project to have multiple flags available for seasons or birthdays, and they can be easily replaced!
Also, for the random nook we had perched in our kitchen, a small dose of chalkboard paint and modge-podged stationary paper and buttons (you will see these repeatedly) created a completely unique chalkboard. We use this board to write down verses and encouragement throughout the week. A great reminder that no matter what kind of stress you under, the beautiful melodies of the Lord are only and ears listen away.
Painting the Roses Red

No, I am not actually going to paint roses....although, the characters of Alice in Wonderland may actually have a secret message. This post is dedicated to my new found love of flower arrangements. I ADORE taking all sorts of flowers and bringing them together into the CIRCLE OF LIFE. Ok, sorry my life is a Disney song, much more exciting that way.
Flowers are not easy to come by in my price range ($0-.99)? ok maybe that impossible, unless you find me rolling in the deep of the highway greenery. Instead, I suggest looking for a Wholesale Florist near you. This is where the flower shops order there flower, and they are often at a great price. Here are a few arrangement I have created for under 35$. It may seem pricey, but these would go for 50$ separately.
round one: My humble abode

Here are a few things to present to you the kind of style we will be running towards in this blog. These are just a designs on my "college budget" that i am thrilled to say are the makeup of my room.
WHAT IS THAT?!
ok, calm down... I can explain
When one first walks in your eyes feast upon an old sewing table turned desk. This is one of my favorite pieces, purchased for 60$ at a nearby antique store. This is one of my pricier buys, but it has become the focal point to my room.
The tall bird cage is a set of wire baskets that stack on top of one another, with an old hat from another vintage store in the area purchased for 10$
The tree painting was just acrylic paints with a design I often go to. I enjoy anything that has birds, trees, and who doesn't love a nice banner?
So, You've given up, Eh?
Have no fear and your wildest dreams on the, soon to be vintaged, table.
This blog will be coming to you in simpleton formats and eloquent speech. All to convey the key to the book we never knew was available. That is right fellow vintage lovers, this sight will show you how to bring Anthropologie to your home AND still have money to send you child to college and feed your pet fish.
You might be wondering if my "budget" consists of a few hundred dollar bills (pocket change, right?) But let me assure you...I am bringing these blueprints to you straight from the college library printer. Yes, I am a college student, with a college budget, but a taste for the distressed that can not be quenched. I will show you pictures and tutorials of some of my recent crafting, and hopefully inspire you to pursue share the cobwebbed ideas of your own some day!
